The Derby is Hot!
The whole world knows this is THE derby. The city of Liverpool will feel a temperature raise when Liverpool FC face Everton in the English Premier League.According to the news, Robbie Fowler scored six Merseyside derby goals in his previous spell at the club, and will be desperate to start the match against the Toffees having started on the bench last weekend at Newcastle.
It's important to notice that Liverpool had Mohamed Sissoko and John Arne Riise both back from injury at Birmingham, while Djimi Traore is struggling with a thigh problem.
Duncan Ferguson is available for Everton after completing a seven-match suspension, but manager David Moyes is unlikely to change his front partnership of James Beattie and James McFadden.
Portuguese full-back Nuno Valente missed last weekend's 4-1 victory over Aston Villa with a thigh injury and could return, although Gary Naysmith did well on his comeback from injury.
Keeper Sander Westerveld has gone back to Portsmouth after his short-term loan while Nigel Martyn is out for the season after a scan on his injured ankle revealed a hairline fracture.
Furthermore, midfielder Mikel Arteta has been a doubt all week with a jarred nerve in his back.
