Benitez: "Bordeaux will not be easy"
A win against the French side would guarantee the Reds a place in the last 16 with two encounters remaining.
We must remember that Benitez's side scraped past Bordeaux 1-0 a fortnight ago with a second-half goal from Peter Crouch.
The Spaniard coach, who is expected to change the starting line-up for the 100th straight match, insisted Bordeaux are a strong away side.
"Fans and newspapers say this is an easy game, but it very difficult game because you know the other team will play without pressure. They have quality and always it is more difficult to play against teams without pressure," he expressed.
"But I think it is a game where you might think it will be easy because they are at the bottom of the group, but you have to be careful because they have good players with quality."
"If you know the squad; and we have watched them a lot, you will know that they are more comfortable away from home. For me that is the problem."
It's important to mention that Liverpool are joint leaders of Group C with seven points along with PSV Eindhoven, who the Reds face next on November 22nd.
Captain Steven Gerrard and midfielder Mohamed Sissoko are minor doubts with ankle injuries while Craig Bellamy and Fabio Aurelio are also doubtful for the important game.
